Job Description
Responsible for the planning, direction, implementation and evaluation
of clinical social work activities in the behavioral health clinic. Assists
CNO/VP with the departmental budget; develops long and short term goals,
policies and procedures for the department. Provides supervision to clinical
personnel. Is a resource person to healthcare professionals concerning
psycho-social problems, and community resources. Coordinates the performance
improvement activities within the department and participates in quality
improvement activities.
- Conducts comprehensive psychosocial assessments.
- Evaluates patient data, develops and implements a treatment plan for the patient.
- Provides individual patient and family therapy, and crisis intervention.
- Assists in development and evaluation of policies and procedures; department
objectives and goals; standards of care.
- Assists VP in preparing annual budget for the department to include labor
and supplies; Maintains statistics as directed and monitors spending,
produces reports.
- Performs competency evaluations of staff members.
- Maintains current knowledge of social, medical and psychiatric services
available within the community.
- Ensures staff receives timely, complete and documented orientation, in-services
and continuing education.
- Directs staff in problem-solving, goal-setting, and the development, implementation,
and evaluation of programs/projects.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social
Worker) in Indiana.
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of social
service with an emphasis in the behavioral health setting.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
