Patient Access Representative

Job Description

  • Greets all patients and guests in initiating check in process.
  • Obtains and verified accurate patient identification & demographic data to confirm or update the patient’s record while maintaining confidentiality for information.
  • Is responsible for completing eligibility of insurances presented and possibly offering some financial counselling as well as conducting point of service collections.
  • Is responsible for completing registration for all admission processes while providing customer service in person and via phone.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer and clerical experience needed.
  • Candidate must be able to multi-task while being detail oriented and have computer skills with at least 40 wpm.
  • Must be team orientated but also able to work independently.
  • Job can require long periods of standing and walking as well as repetitive standing and sitting.

    Preferred qualifications:

  • Medical and insurance experience
  • Medical terminology
  • Fluently bi-lingual
