Job Description
Responsible for administration and direct application of speech/language
pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician and NPP.
- Meets the patient's goals and needs, providing quality care by assessing
and interpreting evaluations and test results; determining speech therapy
treatment plans in consultation with physicians or NPP.
- Maintains patient speech therapy records by recording client's progress.
- Administers speech therapy treatment plan; instructing, encouraging, and
assisting patients in performing exercises and functional tasks.
- Develops individualized treatment plans, and directs patient care and treatment
as set in the plan of care, in order to restore and improve function and
prevent disability following disease or injury.
Qualifications
Master's degree from an approved college or school of speech/language
pathology.
Experience with In-patient / Out-patient SLP treatment for all age groups
preferred.
Current State licensure in speech pathology
Current BCLS certification
Strong computer knowledge
Knowledge of equipment utilized in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment
of speech pathology
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
