Job Description
The Specialty Pharmacy Technician is responsible for performing tasks related
to the operations and management of specialty prescriptions and patients
on these medications. Responsibilities include serving as a liaison between
pharmacy benefit managers and the pharmacy staff, to ensure effective
communication regarding all things related to billing, data entry, fulfillment,
procurement, and shipment of medications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Indiana Pharmacy Technician License
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB), preferred but not required
- Specialty pharmacy experience, preferred but not required
- 2+ years with retail pharmacy experience, preferred but not required
- 340B understanding and experience, preferred but not required
